To celebrate students of Christ the King College, Onitsha, that have emerged victorious at the esteemed World Affairs Challenge 2024 (WAC), hosted by World Denver, the former Governor of Anambra State and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has paid a courtesy visit to the school.

Addressing the students during a courtesy visit to the renowned institution, Obi congratulated them, commending their dedication, intellect, and resilience in clinching the prestigious title. He reiterated the paramount importance of education, highlighting it as the linchpin for sustainable progress and prosperity in any society.

Obi emphasised the pivotal role of youths in shaping the future of the country.

In encouraging the students, I reminded them that the future of the New Nigeria is anchored on the productivity of Nigerian youths. They must, therefore, take their education very seriously and continue to develop themselves to contribute positively to the nation, remarked Obi.

In a statement released on X,  he thanked the Proprietor, Principal, Management, and Staff of Christ the King College for their unwavering commitment to nurturing academic excellence and moral character among the students.

He praised the institution for upholding high standards and instilling values that transcend the confines of the classroom.
