Nicki Minaj Shatters Records: ‘Pink Friday’ Album Dominates Charts and Makes History

Since the release of the “Pink Friday 2” by the queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minaj has been on various interviews to promote her fifth studio album. The album sold 228k and debuted atop the Billboard Hot 200.

Nicki Minaj became the first female rapper to have three albums chart atop the Hot 200. She also earned a milestone with 60 top on the digital songs chart. She also became the first female rapper in history to earn #1 album on the Billboard 200 in two decades (2010s and 2020s). She becomes the first female rapper to chart 17 songs from a single album on the Hot 100 with “Pink Friday 2.” She has 147 total entries on the Billboard Hot 100, surpassing Lil Baby & Kanye West for the sixth-most overall in Hot 100 history. Lastly, Nicki Minaj became the first female rapper to chart 12 solo songs from a single album on the Hot 100 with “Pink Friday 2.”
