Vincent Kompany, current manager of Burnley, has emerged as a potential candidate for the managerial position at Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga giants are reportedly considering Kompany as a successor to Thomas Tuchel, with internal discussions already underway.

According to  Fabrizio Romano, the Bayern Munich board has directly called Kompany to inform him about their interest.

Kompany, who took over Burnley in 2022, faced a challenging season as the club was relegated to the Championship after just one year back in the Premier League.

Despite this setback, he has attracted the attention of Bayern Munich, according to reports.

The Bavarian club believes that Kompany fits the profile they seek in their long-term search for Tuchel’s successor.

This potential move comes amidst uncertainty and transition for Bayern Munich, who have been evaluating various managerial options.

Kompany’s leadership qualities, tactical understanding, and experience as a top-level player are seen as valuable assets that could benefit the German club.

The club have already faced rejections from Xabi Alonso, Julien Nagelsmann and Ralf Rangnick and has also been linked with managers including Roger Schmidt, Hansi Flick, Zinedine Zidane and Jose Mourinho.
