Ahmed Ododo Sworn in as Kogi Governor

Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has taken the oath of office as the 5th democratically-elected Governor of Kogi State. In a ceremony held at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja, Ododo was sworn in by state Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Mejabiers.

The inauguration, which marked the official commencement of Ododo’s tenure as Governor,following Yahaya Bello’s 2 terms was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

In his inaugural address, Governor Usman Ododo wasted no time in announcing his first set of appointments.

Among those nominated were individuals who had previously served in key roles during the Yahaya Bello administration. They include former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Folashade Ayoade Arike, Kingsley Fanwo, and Deedat Salami Ozigi, among others.
