On Sunday night, terrorists struck the Kajuru-Station community in Kaduna State, kidnapping 87 individuals, according to Punch News.

Harisu Dari, a member of the Kajuru-Station Youths, confirmed the incident on Monday, mentioning that the attackers also looted shops, taking food items and valuables.

The invasion occurred around 10 pm, adding to the recent wave of kidnappings in the area, including the abduction of 15 women and a man in Dogon-Noma just days earlier.

Both Kajuru and Chikun Local Government Areas have witnessed a surge in kidnapping incidents over the past two weeks, leading to heightened tension.

Dari expressed concern over the lack of immediate security response and urged the government to devise effective strategies to combat the terrorists and reassure affected communities.

He said:

As of the time I visited the community this morning, security operatives have not been drafted to help restore the confidence of the villagers.

The villagers are traumatic by the sad development. The government needs to re-strategise in tackling these terrorists.
