2024 Paralympic Games: Nigeria’s Eniola Bolaji Wins Historic First Medal

Eniola Bolaji is the first African athlete to win a Para-Badminton medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Bolaji’s achievement came after she secured a dominant victory over Ukraine’s Kozyna Oksana, winning 21-9, 21-9 in the Women’s Singles SL3 category.

This victory not only marks a significant milestone for Bolaji but also represents the first medal for Team Nigeria in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Bolaji’s historic achievement gives pride among Nigerians and the entire African continent as the Paralympic Games continue.

Meanwhile, Team Nigeria’s momentum at the Games is set to continue, with Bolawa Akingbemisiu, Kayode Alabi, and Isau Ogunkule preparing to compete in the Round of 16 in table tennis.
